yes Father i want to obey
i want to give you my hands & feet
the heart you created
is ready to live the life you intended
you never stopped loving me
even though i didn't do what was right
you always supplied my every need

ABBA thank you for accepting me
for the way i am
thank you for your Son
you gave your best
the least i can do is follow Jesus
i know He's the way
and Glory to ABBA it is His will

yes i confess

i've been disappointed
with my decisions
my mistakes
our own flesh will always come up short
and yes life is too
and tomorrow could be my last day

but there's time
to make things right
there's a place for everything to fall into place
all i can do is pray
and wait for His plan
until then His commandments
and His Word
must be lived

running some errands

minding our own business
no one knows more than me and you
that feeling between us
could be seen in your eyes
could be found in our hearts

pretty white creame face
long straight black hair
a body that makes any man
on the streets look for work
or get a life
that he would share with only you

you know what's real
and it's there that you make life come alive
you're a wonderful spirit
and your carefree ways
make life a fun place to be
who knows what tomorrow
will do for me and you

now that i touched your heart of gold
will you dig deeper
into your treasure of love
we'll flow into this whirlpool
we choose to swim into
getting so far
lost in this realism

ALONE

i guess everyone lives in their own world
some real some are make believe
from a child to a woman
no one really knows the real you
your heart your mind your true thoughts
why you chose your friends, your lovers
things you hate things you love
it's all written down on the palms of your hands

i'm sitting here alone in my car
i often think of you and you're not alone
looking into this dream of reality
is a place of uncertainity
and i really don't know what to think
should i believe with my heart
or should i think with my head
because sometimes being alone
gives you the chance to see the things you couldn't see yesterday

i do know for sure in giving myself
to you unselfishly
the sky is wide open
and the plan is laid out
nobody knows the play
but still i embrace every moment
we share together
it's love i need it's love that i want

every walk is guided

is one taken prayerfully

i made mistakes
i regret the love i missed

but love remained
through the heartache and pain

no one said
it was going to be easy

the tears would come

you first learned to crawl
but you find yourself
down on your knees
and everything you ever hungered for
you end up pleading harder
for misery to leave
funny thing is the misery outlasts the pleasure

because i said the truth
look and see it'll come to pass
find out my words will last
when flesh and lies get tangled in compromise
my truth will cut the darkness away

wake up
early sunrise
its a new day
you start over
eyes begin to clear
grey skies turn golden skies
and the sun
