everyday is full of surprises
some good some states of shock
prayer is good & faith can heal your soul
but i'm just as human as the next man or woman
i bleed the same blood
i watched the clock take time away from me
i cry as hard as the next victim of circumstance
if your lyin' there in bed dying of aids
if your homeless & on some elicit drug
drunk & jobless looking for your hunger sign
you may not be saved yet
but you can ask Jesus come into my heart
i believe you died for me; make me some peace
give my life some meaning
give me a reason to wake up
everybody's important
to those not so fortunate
to those who think they're not so pretty
the ones who never get enough attention and are alone
everyone's important
so don't forget whose image you are
and remember someone loves you
your spirit is eternal
this body is temporal
be the king of your destiny
shine on the rain
use your hands for something more useful
walk on your feet and feel the sand
let your eyes fall deep into the light
