many times when i look back
i want to thank the women
that been a part of my life
they brought pleasure along with equal pain
there's been golden moments as well as golden silence
when love is shared with each other
there's a magic that can't be practiced
it took two
to put our hearts in a melting fire
love like iron it won't tarnish
it took two of us to swim from the atlantic to the pacific
it took our commitment to get thru the traffic
we took no prisoners we took no jealousys
glasses & glasses of wine
filled our desires
till our strength was given back
after a good night of sleep
faces places and kisses
have replaced your vacancy from me
still i write and think about you
it takes two
to keep this friendship today
we still talk we still argue
we watch each others' lives unfold
we grab the phone
when we need each other
your voice still reaches me like no other
