once upon a time
i was a child
who carried a smile
didn't really know who i was
but i grew from day to day
everybody i met
seemed to have answers of their own
i don't know where time has gone
but still this child still smiles
the look has changed
and so has the grace
the grace you find upon my face
there was a day
i lived in innocence
there was a day
i longed for innocence
there will come a day
my innocence will remain
i'm a little older now
still human and being
just who GOD meant me to be
everything He created & loves
He somehow makes my day
and one He won't forget
and one He longs to see
