he really visualizes her now

no time to throw in the towel

we only confess things
that will benefit us
like things that help us better
our living situation
when you really think about it
in your present relationship

no downtown time
is around
when you hear the sound of the freeway

where the neon lights are flashing
you know like times square
eiffel tower in paris
cabo in san lucas
people everywhere
in all walks of life
pretty women & men still tryn' to be cool

when i'm on the street
there's no downtown time
women charging less than what their really worth
guys selling their dreams short
for playing only a few chords
downtown isn't the same
as living in my hometown

somewhere out where leaves fall free
there are children playing
in a giant playground
they seem to be making a lot of noise
but they got something above
that's innocent & pure
don't ever lose where you came from
remember you are a child
as long as you want to be

i grew up in a large family

Mom & Dad raised us seven

we moved from house to house

but we stayed close to one another

my Mom's choice in music has a good influence on me

television and movies were always on

my oldest brother always had time to show us sports

Mom had time to read us the Bible

the best of life

are those aspects and roots i just shared

the WORD, music and entertainment

play a vital role in my life today

and i plan on keeping it that way

i can write a good lyric

i can open a woman's heart

and keep her happy if i stay interested

like any concerned parent

i am proud to have two sons

one is into sports & medicine

and the other one is into art & music

i am not ashamed of the life i live

i lack an education but

physical education, ministry & English

are a part of me still

coaching whenever, preaching & writing

still comes out to the public

i'll continue to give what's been given to me

THE FIRE

Dust blowing in the Wind
is what we are
GOD decided to create man in His own image
dirt and clay He created man
He breathed through him and man became a living being
to this day
GOD is still close to us, as the day He breathed through Adam

but one day man lost his mind
and paid for that sin
but GOD promised him a Redeemer
to restore man back to where he belongs
back in GOD's arms
time and generations have gone
GOD's man, Abraham, paved the way for the coming Christ

who would bring the Fire
the Fire will clove the believer and give us hope
on all who'll believe on Jesus and His Name
no only walk here
buy beyond your wildest dreams

Jesus teached, preached and healed
He died for you 'cause He loved you and He arose to give you His love
He and GOD visit and abode with their children
chosen vessels cleansed, humbled and purified
making Himself a perfect church

THE GREATER COMPROMISE

living in this valley of decision

can change the very course that GOD has given you

with your own dependency

you really can't see too clear

the road you call your own

really it can lead to a road that goes astray

the end of the season

you'll find some directions home

the greater compromise

you know it's full of the world's lies

when all of paradise has been handed to you

but you choose to live in a room full of blues

when all along the Lord has given you answers

to those twisted clues

won't you just begin to do what He says

yeah i've never met a sinner who doesn't sin

but i know a man who lives blameless

and He's not ashamed to claim He knows who i am

there's a way out

there's truth so don't fall for the greater compromise

such a silent writer

TRAPPED IN THIS BODY

spirits from above always reaching out to us

some are more open than others are

to those like us they speak to us

spirits wondering the universe

they entertain our minds

and sometimes play with our brain & heads

some stay for a while just to see if will listen

there's a freedom in their call within

screamin' echos of, is everybody in? is everybody in?

being trapped in this body

wings flow like a dove

yet the pain in this body carries a critical weight

sickness disease incurable cancers and other sorts

just see the masses who cry for healing waters

when the other side of the glass

the futures there, looks so much brighter

and easy to access

yes, there is a Man from the Nazarene

simple plan simple choice where the will is free

eternity is being lived out on this earth

examples are displayed everywhere free but not cheap

words & lyrics are expressions of the truth

coming from the heart & the light

they blind the dark and give the audience

more than just your body language & speech

there are roads and paths

their craved in your search for the truth & reason

someday will find the end

and then will find He was the beginning

of our faith the measure was ours

through the heat

we just love it

WHATEVER DOOR YOU KNOCK UPON

tripping down the road of life
where people don't seem so alarming
pictures through a stained glass window
eyes as far away as the desert from the snow
trees as high as the clouds in the sky
fish swim so low they never see the gravel
stars so full that only mars can tell

whatever door you knock upon
whatever the sound the bell tones
you feel the earth as sure
as you feel your heart inside
your hand reaches like the thrust of the drum
mother's calling
and the door stands waiting

this suit & jacket you wear looks so cool
hair goes where no one knows
shades so wide keeping some out of the view
stage is more than a tile floor
for more than one to see & hear
but it's only flesh
the other make is more real

people will look at you
in ways that will discourage you
appearance values them more
than the soul itself
already baby
you can see their jive lies
baby, it's all lies
but the truth you hold will last

carry on and laugh the way they do
through their blindness
their lives roll around in a glass
there's got to be more contact
than the face they see in the mirror

what GOD sees
is the moves in your heart
that respond to His ways
in your blood vessels are traces
of Jesus taking you to the cross

we all try our best to succeed in life
the true angels seen it all before
my life has been troubled more than once
cried myself to silent flowing tears
just can't help remembering the years gone by

when i die i feel i'll be trying still
but GOD may i ask, help me not to remember so, i've tried
and i've thrown away some precious words & songs
please let me find them & refine them...
and i'll sing them to you and your true angels can hear

what is ours?
we can keep what we have or let it go
and let GOD
some may be tired of their possessions
searching for something new

i know i want a different life, that's true
one that'll last
but i need lessons already learned
to shut up my past
and bring a light, so i can see His path
